Vi improved its postpaid plans, to retain high ARPU consumers

In an effort to reduce subscriber churn and keep its high average revenue per user (ARPU) customers, Vodafone Idea on Wednesday unveiled new “Vi Max” postpaid plans with increased data, OTT advantages, and credit control.

The costs of the Vi Max plans are Rs 401, Rs 501, and Rs 701. The telco has also introduced a new RedX plan at Rs 1,101. In a statement, Vodafone Idea said that as of November 1st, these plans are now accessible throughout India.

Vi Max offers greater value for almost the same cost as earlier postpaid plans, according to the statement.

The Vi Max Postpaid plans include a variety of benefits, including free subscriptions to Vi Movies & TV, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, and SonyLIV. Users of Vi Max also have access to over 1000 games through Vi Games on Vi App and ad-free music through Hungama.

In addition to other travel perks like a 7-day international roaming pack worth Rs 2999 per year, Vodafone Idea said the Vi Max plans will offer discounts on flight and hotel bookings through MakeMyTrip. Meanwhile, the new REDX 1101 plan will continue to provide free access to domestic and international airport lounges.

Additionally, Vodafone Idea has improved its Family Plans to include bundled subscriptions to Amazon Prime and Disney+Hotstar for 4 connections at Rs 999 and 5 connections at Rs 1149, respectively.
