Sajith Sivanandan, a former managing director of Google Pay, has been designated by Disney International as executive vice president and head of Disney+ Hotstar. Sivanandan will be responsible for managing the company’s entire business operations in India and developing a growth plan for the OTT streaming service.
Sivanandan will start in his new position with Disney+ Hotstar in October and will account for both K Madhavan, president of Disney Star, and Rebecca Campbell, chairman of Disney’s International content and operations department. Sivanandan held the positions of managing director and business head for Google Pay and the Next Billion User Initiatives for its APAC region earlier to this promotion.
As executive vice president, Sivanandan will collaborate closely with the Disney+ team in the US as well as local leadership in other countries.
