IBM has appointed longtime Nokia executive Stephen Rose as the company’s General Manager to lead the Global Telco, Media, Entertainment, and Distribution vertical.
The New York-headquartered services firm in a statement to Light Reading confirmed the development. Rose is taking over from Steve Canepa, who is now the general manager of IBM Global Industries. Rose will appoint to Canepa, the report said.
Rose most recently worked at Nokia Bell Labs where he was responsible for the company’s global telco practice, working across the C-Suite of CSPs, CSP for Enterprise, TMT Investors and Regulators.
Prior to starting his stint at Nokia in 2010, Rose worked at Western Wireless and LCC, a Tech Mahindra company.
