Airtel with fastest 4G download speeds, Jio expands coverage

According to an OpenSignal analysis, Bharti Airtel customers received the highest service quality on 4G networks with the quickest download speeds, while Reliance Jio had the best coverage.

According to OpenSignal’s mobile network experience report for June to August, users on Airtel reported download speeds of 13.6, which was slightly faster than Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio by 0.3-0.6 Mbps but significantly higher than government-run BSNL by a massive 10.6 Mbps.

Compared to the other 4G network providers, Airtel provided a better streaming video, multiplayer gaming, and OTT voice experience.

However, Reliance Jio users were able to spend 99.4% more time than other users.

Jio also takes the prize for the best 4G coverage, with its customers having access to 4G in 95 out of 100 of the areas that Indian consumers visited. Vi, BSNL, and Airtel round out the top five in each of the three categories, respectively says the survey.

On its 4G network, Vodafone Idea has the fastest upload speeds.

According to the survey, Vi subscribers reported the fastest overall upload speeds in India, at 4.7 Mbps on average – 0.5-0.7 Mbps faster than Airtel and Jio.

According to the study, BSNL had the slowest upload rates at 1.1 Mbps.

When it comes to the mobile network experience in India, it’s pretty evident that a two-horse competition exists between Airtel and Jio, ans that the competition or 5Gt would be just as much, the research concluded.
